Afton Celebrates Earth Day 2019 - Richmond, Virginia, USA
In celebration of Earth Day 2019, Afton employees took part in a series of events and activities at the Richmond campus focused on promoting environmental awareness and protection. The activities included the collection of Household Hazardous Waste and recycling of E-Waste. Between the two collections, Afton collected more than 600 pounds of hazardous materials for proper disposal.
To help promote pollinators and the environment, employees adopted tree seedlings to plant at home. They also learned about the challenges associated with food-related waste. Afton’s food services group highlighted all of the creative and proactive ways they work to prevent food-related waste.
